Apply now for a CCU Bursary

The Confederation of Canadian Unions (CCU) is once again offering dependent children of NSUPE members who are attending a post-secondary institution the opportunity to receive a bursary. The bursary amount has now been increased to $1000 per recipient.

Applications must be received by Mike Trider, CCU Regional Officer at or Melissa Morse at no later than Thursday, October 1, 2020. Please refer to the bursary application form for full details regarding the application process. Note that the essay does not need to be submitted at the application stage.

The successful applicants will be contacted by email and upon receipt of ‘proof of enrollment’ and a 500-1000 word essay on ‘What Unionism Means to You’ will be sent the award.

Last year CCU bursaries were awarded to David Lu and Linsey Snow. David is the dependent of Chunmei Yu who is a member of NSUPE Local 14. Linsey Snow is the dependent of Marilyn Snow who is a member of NSUPE Local 2.
