On Monday, September 3, let us all take a few moments to remember, recognize, and celebrate the struggles of those who paved the way for the labour laws and workers’ rights that protect us today.
Labour Day celebrations are being held throughout Nova Scotia and in PEI.
Charlottetown, PEI – 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Joe Ghiz Memorial Park for a BBQ and music.
Halifax – 10:30 am at Victoria Park on Spring Garden Road to join the rally and march to the South Commons. Free BBQ and concert will begin at 12:00 pm at the South Commons Triangle.
Kentville – 11:30 am to 2:00 pm at the Kentville Memorial Park on Park Street for a free picnic with live music.
Bridgewater – 11:30 am to 2:00 pm at the Shipyards Landing at 210 King Street for a march and community BBQ and music.
Yarmouth – 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Frost Park on Main Street, which is across from the Rodd Grand Hotel for a BBQ and entertainment.
