NSUPE applauds BC legislation

The Nova Scotia Union of Public & Private Employees congratulates BC Health Minister, Adrian Dix on introducing the Voluntary Blood Donations Act, which will ban paid blood and plasma collection in British Columbia.

Currently, only Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec have similar legislative bans in place.

NSUPE encourages the Nova Scotia Health Minister, the Honourable Randy Delorey and the Prince Edward Island Health Minister, Robert Mitchell to implement legislation in Nova Scotia and PEI to safeguard the voluntary, unpaid blood supply in our provinces.
